It all started when I wanted to play video games on my old MacBook Pro that really could not handle it. Naturally, my response to this was to build my own computer rather than simply upgrade the 8-year-old machine I bought with my first paycheck. That, however, was only the tip of the iceberg. Not content with building one machine, I then refurbished an old PC from my parents and turned it into a network-attached storage server (or NAS, for short). There is also, of course, the website you are currently on. All this has earned me the title of “tech support” for family and friends.
